You take such amazing pictures-- even with a point and shoot :P.
Reminds me of myself pre-November 30th. :P. A DSLR also has a huge learning curve.. I sucked when I got my D40 but got better :P. I took like 2000-3000 photos the first month, now I take around 100-800 a month. The first month you go "HOLY **** WOOT *snaps pictures of EVERYTHING...*.
haha, speaking of knowing the capabilities... my friend was trying to take a picture of me in low light.. I knew that the camera would use a slow shutter speed so I just rocked back and forth, watching my friend go "STOP MOVINGGGGG"

Also it helps that I used to shoot Film "back in the day" and I used to have some decent equipment.
